As an Associate/Senior Associate, Bioindustrial Investments, your primary role is to help ensure that the team is well-informed and well-prepared for making investment decisions and build a strong network across the region. You will be working out of Singapore in close collaboration with colleagues globally, reporting to the Bioindustrial Partner in Singapore
The key diligence questions are formulated by the team and addressed through review of scientific literature, database searches and interviews with key opinion leaders or industry experts. The outcome is documented in reports and presentations, and the analysis provides the background for prioritising investment opportunities. You are expected to work with management teams of the prospective investment opportunities to outline the critical questions for confirmation. Positive feedback may ultimately lead to the decision to invest. You will support the team in writing and preparation of investment recommendations.
In this role, your tasks will include:
- Evaluating investment opportunities
- Performing financial due diligence and modelling business cases
- Creating financial models to assess new potential and current investments
- Preparing internal investment documentation and presentations for the governing bodies of Novo Holdings
- Expanding industry expertise through conducting desktop research and expert calls, and attending relevant conferences
- Monitoring and reporting on portfolio companies

Requirements
The ideal candidate has a M.Sc. or Ph.D or from a top-tier institution and 2+ years at a top investment bank or firm. We are looking for a strong financial modelling skill set and an interest in science.
Experience from venture capital, private equity, business development or consultancy will be an advantage, but not a requirement.
As a person, you demonstrate excellent communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and confidence in managing a wide variety of stakeholders. You always maintain a high level of professionalism, strong work ethic and integrity.
You possess excellent analytical skills and a sense for linking science with business. You have an open mind, a proactive approach and seeks to provide input on issues relating to investment projects and opportunities.
