Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Specialist to join
our dynamic team. The Purchasing Specialist will play a crucial role in our solar PV integration
projects, responsible for sourcing, procurement, and supply chain management of materials and
services essential for our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and select vendors and suppliers of solar PV components and services.
- Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality standards.
- Procurement: Execute purchase orders for solar PV modules, inverters, mounting systems, and other necessary components.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and ensure availability of materials to meet project timelines and budgets.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to ensure adherence to technical specifications and quality standards.
- Logistics: Coordinate logistics and shipping arrangements to ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies in all purchasing activities.
- Cost Control: Implement strategies to optimize costs while maintaining high standards of quality and reliability.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to foster collaboration and resolve issues promptly.
- Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and new technologies to inform procurement decisions.
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience as a Purchasing Specialist, Procurement Officer, or similar role in the renewable energy sector, particularly solar PV integration.
- Strong knowledge of solar PV components, suppliers, and market dynamics.
- Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective supplier relationships.
- Proficiency in procurement software and MS software.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
