Investment Operations Manager (Contract – maternity cover) – Job Description
A growing boutique fund management company is looking for an investment operations professional to cover for our operations manager during her maternity leave.
Responsibilities:
1. Daily fund operations management, including reconciliation, trade settlement, corporate action processing, subscription/redemptions, fund accounting and reporting.
2. Reconciliation of monthly NAV and investor reports provided by Fund Administrator.
3. Collaborate closely with investment team to provide operational support.
4. Facilitate communications with brokers, custodians, fund administrators, corporate secretaries and auditors, etc.
5. Assist COO with compliance matters, audits, and statutory boards’ surveys as necessary.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field;
2. Up to 5 years in trade settlements, fund accounting with buyside/fund administrator. Experience in emerging market equity funds and Cayman reporting preferred;
3. Familiarity with fund operation processes, compliance, financial products, and portfolio accounting systems;
4. Meticulous attention to details. Excellent verbal and written communication and problem-solving skills. Works effectively with team members.
5. Excellent with spreadsheets. Familiarity with Bloomberg is a plus.
