ob Title: Financial Analyst
Basic Function
This position is responsible for conducting monthly analysis and participating in corporate projects among other duties. The individual must be well-organized, detail-oriented, trustworthy, and responsible to handle all related tasks. The role relies on the candidate's experience to perform job functions under general supervision.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Support the team and department in coordinating, conducting, and preparing tasks related to corporate investments, restructuring, and fundraising projects, including complex structuring, modeling, scenario analysis, and feasibility studies.
- Coordinate, support, prepare, and review short-term and long-term financial projects with both the China and overseas teams, working with overseas business and plant finance teams to deliver the latest financial projections, and summarize and prepare related deliverables for external financial institutions or investors.
- Prepare deliverables for the monthly actual and forecast group covenants monitoring, external bank reporting, and Q&A, ensuring timely follow-up on potential issues.
- Coordinate, summarize, and review information gathered from various departments or sub-groups for submission based on requests or queries from external financial institutions, bankers, investors, the holding company, and other stakeholders.
- Prepare and review management reports, including overall P&L analysis, working capital analysis, business highlights, and impact analysis for submission to internal management meetings and external financial institutions or investors based on recent events and management discussions.
- Review various financial results periodically, including overall P&L, balance sheet, cash flow analysis, sales analysis, SWOT analysis, business outlook, and capital expenditure analysis, for submission to holding company management meetings.
- Benchmark group performance against competitors' financial data.
- Prepare company presentations, review annual reports, and conduct external publication reviews.
- Continuously optimize and improve deliverables processes, formats, work processes, and system functions to enhance work efficiency and quality.
- Use Tableau dashboards for group analysis and collaborate with team members on group analysis or projects.
- Perform any ad hoc financial analysis or projects as assigned.
- Occasional business travel may be required.
Qualifications & Experience (Skills / Knowledge / Attributes)
- Bachelor’s degree or above in finance or accounting-related field; finance-related certifications preferred.
- Excellent command of MS Office applications with strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, including macros; familiarity with Tableau and other visualization tools is a plus.
- Experienced and skilled in data extraction from ERP systems (Oracle) and ESSBASE (HFM) is preferred.
- Strong sense of financial data analysis, numerical aptitude, logical and analytical thinking, and corporate finance skills.
- Strong logical and analytical thinking with good communication abilities.
- Preferably experienced in financial modeling and structuring, working on P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow models, with short-term and long-term projections (1 to 5 years).
- Preferably with 2 to 3 years’ experience in a corporate finance/transactions department of a company or Big 4 firm, or audit/corporate finance experience; at least 4 to 6 years of overall working experience.
- Able to work independently as well as in a team environment, and handle fast-paced and tight deadlines as needed.
