The Position:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Interior Designer to join our team. You will provide design inputs to high-profile international projects.
The ideal candidate will possess exceptional design skills, an understanding of the latest trends, thinking and the ability to translate these in response to a client's brief. As well as the ability to take a project from concept through to delivery on site whilst coordinating a team and communicating ideas both internally and externally.
Responsibilities:
- Manages all day to day matters pertaining to design issues, escalate issue where required.
- Liaise with Design Team on conceptual / schematic / detailed design.
- Executes the overall design within the Project Team.
- Projects and identifies areas requiring resolution and generates probable solutions for confirmation.
- Provides first line resolution of design issues.
- Interfaces regularly with project team to ensure fulfilment of project objectives.
- Coordinates, organizes and interfaces all works with team members to meet agreed timeline and to fulfill established project objectives.
- Coordinates and attends Clients, Consultants and Technical Coordination Meetings.
- Initiate and undertake actions to prevent the occurrence of non-conformity.
- Identify and record project progress.
- Prepares the following:* Contract administration documents (Including drawings in CAD & PDF) * Material specifications and schedule of finishes
- Detail Design Development, dealing with architectural layout, details and materials.
- Understanding of general Building Code is a plus.
- Working with the Technical Officer on compliance with Planning and Building Regulations, including for Main Contractor the preparation for approval of TOP/CSC.
- Liaising with the Consultants, suppliers & contractors
- Checking design, submission of Consultant and Contractors shop drawings.
Qualifications & Capabilities:
- Degree/Diploma in Architecture or Interior Design
- Strong computer aid skills such as AutoCAD, Sketch-up, Enscape and Adobe package
- Ability to multi-task and calm under pressure.
- Experience in working with South East Asia projects.
- Excellent organisational and collaboration skills with a multi-disciplinary team
- Team Player.
- A proactive approach to responding to project challenges and exceeding Client’s expectations.
