Assist in cooking & food preparation and responsible for packing of cooked or processed items. Ensure kitchen safety and food hygiene. Ensure all kitchen equipment, tools are in good condition and assist the daily operations in the kitchen.
- Responsible for preparation of ingredients which includes washing, cleaning, peeling, cutting, and chopping of fruits, vegetables, poultry and/or meat.
- Assist the cook and chef in the production/preparation of food.
- Ensure that the standards of food presentation, production, cleanliness, food safety and portioning control are adhered.
- Assist to blast chill/freeze the cooked items for packing.
- Assist in packing and sealing of production items as directed by superior.
- Ensure accuracy of information on labels.
- Ensure proper sealing of packaging and integrity of packaging material used.
- Ensure that storage areas are tidy and all products are stored appropriately.
- Prompty transferring of ingredients from storage areas to kitchen as directed by superior.
- Check proper quantity and expiry date of received goods in accordance to the company’s guideline.
- Minimize wastage and spoilage of all food items.
- Ensure good personal hygiene, proper sanitation and cleanliness of work area and kitchen tools.
- Assist the kitchen operations and processes according to the standard operating processes.
