We’re looking to add a Buyer (Contract 1 Year) in Singapore. The position will be based in our HQ office in Ang Mo Kio.
As a Buyer (Contract 1 Year), you will:
Responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials from approved vendors at competitive costs while consistently meeting quality and delivery requirements, and liaising with suppliers to manage orders.
The key responsibilities are as below:
- Source materials and negotiate with suppliers.
- Ensure weekly forecasts with suppliers.
- Perform order management.
- Manage on-time delivery and Vendor Management Inventory (VMI) programs.
- Analyze MRP load and reschedule plans.
- Resolve quality and related issues.
- Perform any ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the Company.
What skills and experiences are we looking for?
- Diploma or Degree in Electronics, Mechanical Engineering and/or any equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in electronics manufacturing environment, preferably in contract manufacturing or equivalent.
- Possesses sound knowledge of raw material costs and process times for supplier negotiations.
- Demonstrates good negotiation skills and the ability to build rapport with both customers and vendors.
- Holds basic knowledge of procurement practices, terms, negotiation concepts, and business law.
- Knowledge of SAP is preferred.
- Good analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
