Manager Payroll – APJ

Position Summary

Guarantee the performance of the APJ payroll operations while being complaint with employment, taxation and social security laws and other related company policies.

Responsible for the day-to-day leadership of the APJ payroll team, validate and approve the monthly payrolls, acting as first level of escalation for queries not resolved within the payroll analyst’s level. This Includes, payroll processing, projects implementation, employee inquiry management and issue resolution. You will also work with our external payroll vendors, Accounting, Treasury, Global Mobility, Stock teams, Audit, and the Global Talent function to ensure the effective delivery of end-to-end employee payroll processing and query management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct monthly payroll controls and ensure all assigned payrolls are processed timely and accurately (All APJ countries).
  • Build & maintain long-term relationships with the key stakeholders and the payroll vendors.
  • Act as first level of escalation on various payroll issues.
  • Partner with the payroll vendors, Accounting, Stock, Global Talent, and other teams to resolve queries.
  • Ensure adherence to established processes, policies, and internal controls.
  • Work closely with the Director, International Payroll on translating the Company’s goals and objectives into manageable tasks for the team and ensures full understanding among team members.
  • Work together with the Director, International Payroll to develop strategies, procedures, and workflows for the department’s activities to achieve the established objectives and offer quality services to both internal and external customers.
  • Fulfil periodical / ad-hoc reports for the management team and / or other internal customers based on requests.
  • Contribute with ideas to improve the team activities and performance.
  • Be a key player in the development of the Global Payroll systems.

People Management Responsibilities

  • Manage the process of people development and performance evaluation, providing periodic feedback, coaching and empowerment to promote professional growth.
  • Identify people development needs and ensure a plan is implemented.
  • Coordinate / prioritize people activities to facilitate objectives achievement.
  • Organize and lead regular 1 and 1 discussions with the team.
  • Drive quarterly growth conversation and yearly performance reviews with the team.
