Job Description:
· Acting as a liaison between the trust team and the accounting team to review annual accounts, track statement progress and advise accounting team on trust accounting treatment
· Assistance in setting up trust structures and the client on-boarding process, including the collection of relevant client identification, review of onboarding forms, world check reports and collection of general client SOW and SOF detail
· Storing and filing of documentation and emails on physical and server files as required
· Monthly transaction monitoring of accounts in a portfolio, and forwarding a report to Director in charge for final review
· Arrnaging quarterly investment reviews for trust portfolios
· Periodic review of trust structures and remediation of outstanding points found during these reviews
· Working with and responding to request of team members, specifically other trust administrators, the trust manager, client accountants, corporate secretaries, and compliance manager to ensure all team members have required information on structures to perform their duties
· Initial review and presentation of financial statements before sign-off by relevant Directors
· Preparation of trustee minutes, director’s resolutions and deeds as required for trust decisions such a distributions and additions
· Daily completion of timesheets for billing and profitability assessments.
· In addition to your normal duties, you may be required to undertake other duties within your capacity from time to time as notified by the Company.
Qualifications
· Preference for applicants with strong accounting and/or tax backgrounds to help the trust team review annual trust and company financial statements and assess various filing and regulatory obligations and specific reporting requirements
· A degree or professional qualification in Law, Business, Accounting, Tax, or related background.
· 3+ years’ experience working as a Trust Administrator/Trust Officer/Accountant/Tax Advisor
· Willingness to undertake a TEP designation through STEP (if not already attained)
· Analytically minded with strong problem-solving skills.
· Excellent written and verbal English
