Senior Executive - Underwriting (Property/Casualty/Marine)
Responsibilities:
- Assist Underwriters in assessing risks and determining coverage positions.
- Underwrite new business proposals and review policy renewals.
- Support operational workflows and processes to enhance efficiency.
- Ensure timely and accurate follow-up on documentation.
- Coordinate with intermediaries to identify potential business opportunities.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments by analyzing data and evaluating information from various sources.
- Maintain and update underwriting guidelines and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior underwriters and other team members.
- Participate in client and broker meetings to discuss coverage options and negotiate terms.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new underwriting strategies and initiatives.
- Perform additional tasks and functions as assigned.
Requirements:
- A recognized Diploma or University Degree, preferably in Management, Accountancy, or Commerce.
- Preferably experience in the General Insurance industry with an Insurer, Reinsurer, or Broker.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Effective time management skills to meet deadlines.
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
