Job Purpose
The Maintenance Technician performs regular checkups on equipment and preventive maintenance on machinery, repairing them in case of breakdowns.
Principal Accountabilities
- Fixes machine breakdowns as they occur, and as requested of him by his immediate supervisor.
- Performs regular preventive maintenance works on all machines, as per a preset schedule.
- Assists the Maintenance Supervisor in keeping acceptable levels of spare parts and special kits, tools and equipment to maintain machines.
- Makes sure that all machine operating manuals and catalogues (physical and electronic) are available and comprehensive.
- Performs other duties pertinent to this job as assigned.

- Reports directly and promptly to Operations Manager
- Keeps professional relations with peers and other employees
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Technical degree in Electrical or Mechanical fields
- Minimum 2 years of work experience in a comparable job
- Good working knowledge of English
- Computer literate
Physical Requirements of the job
- The job of the Maintenance Technician may require attending the operations (after duty hours) in case of emergencies and should always be reachable by phone.
- It also necessitates some physical handling of products, including lifting and transportation.
