SUSHISAMBA Singapore, a renowned fusion restaurant blending Japanese, Brazilian, and Peruvian flavors, is seeking several experienced and dynamic restaurant cleaner/stewards to join our pre-opening team.
Job Purpose
The Steward and Cleaner Attendant is generally responsible for keeping the restaurant premises clean and tidy
Principal Accountabilities
- Cleans all the restaurant premises and keeps it perfectly dirt free at all times
- Responsible for the tidiness and proper keeping of all sections
- Secures the availability of all needed material and supplies required to perform assigned duties properly, on a daily basis
- Wipes floors, cleans all types of furniture, polishes glass and windows, and maintains proper and organized spaces and areas
- Ensure all equipment is clean and in good working order
- To move, stack, carry, load and unload equipment, food stuff and other articles
- Garbage removal from all assigned areas according to company policies
- Follow safe work practices
- To have a well-groomed appearance at all times and to have a pleasant smiling attitude towards all guests
- To maintain the highest possible level of personal hygiene
- Performs other duties pertinent to this job as assigned.
Communication & Working Relationships
- Maintains effective communication between all departments
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Previous experience in a kitchen or in a service-related industry is preferred but not essential
- Excellent physical condition
- Knowledge of Food Safety, HACCP, Sanitation, and Personal Hygiene basics
- Organized and disciplined character
- Acceptable English
- Polite and hygiene oriented
Physical Requirements of the job
The job of the Steward and Cleaner Attendant may require:
- Physical handling objects up to 25 kilograms
- Moderate exposure to high temperature, dust, fumes, smoke, and loud noises
- Standing for long periods of time and doing repetitive tasks
- Long working hours, working during holidays, and covering different shifts.
