Job purpose:
You will work closely with factories, overseas and local suppliers, and forwarders on all purchasing processes and procedures and ensure a seamless stock management and effective delivery system.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Generate purchase orders to factories and suppliers, including third party vendors.
- Coordinate incoming shipments and ensure on-time delivery from factories and suppliers.
- Manage purchasing initiatives to achieve cost saving targets.
- Manage strategic relationships with key suppliers and maintain documentation in support of key suppliers.
- Work closely with Segment teams and other relevant functions to ensure a capacity planning process is used to measure and manage demands, work throughput and queue levels.
- Manage using a master scheduling process with mechanisms (materials planning) for matching incoming orders to forecasts, handling abnormal demands, and making reliable delivery commitments to Customers.
- Submit reports to the Management as required.
- Assist Reporting Manager in other purchasing-related matters and ad hoc tasks or projects as assigned.
REQUIREMENT:
- Minimum Diploma in Logistic/Supply Chain, or related fields.
- Minimum 2 years experience.
- Demonstrate knowledge of Supply Chain Management concepts and business processes.
- Experience in Baan will be added advantage.
- Proficient with Windows based applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Good interpersonal and communication skill.
- Detail oriented and ability to multi-task and meeting datelines.
- A team player with strong analytical skill, initiative, energetic and customer-oriented.
