ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Deployment and Logistics Coordinator, your primary responsibility is supporting the successful execution of the deployment of the Firmus SMC HyperCube platform.
The role will see you undertaking a range of project administrative tasks, documentation, and coordination activities to contribute to the overall success of the Deployment projects generally.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure smooth cargo transportation.
- Implement shipments according to protocols and dispatch shipping instructions.
- Prepare and verify shipping documents (e.g., bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists)
- Coordinate with the finance team for accurate invoicing and timely payment execution.
- Facilitate communication between deployment teams, stakeholders, and other relevant parties.
- Prepare all related documents pertaining to import and export including Permit Declarations.
- Undertake completion of Quality Assurance documentation and reporting as required.
- Liaise with carriers to secure competitive transportation rates.
- Provide administrative support to project managers and team members as needed.
- Track shipments and proactively communicate any delays or issues to suppliers and internal teams
- Maintain accurate logistics and deployment records.
- Stay up to date on shipping regulations and compliance requirements
- Meeting with company compliance manager for audits and systems review process.
- Collaborate closely with the SMC Global Deployment team.
- Ensure adherence to local regulations, and codes of practice across all works and ensure both logistics and procurement are in line with these requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of presentations and reports for project updates.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in logistics or deployment related field (e.g., freight forwarding, warehousing, projects).
- Strong understanding of shipping processes and documentation
- Working experience working with relevant systems and working directly with suppliers
- Strong communications skills to work with multiple stakeholders and service providers from multiple countries
