Overview
Responsible for 24x7 infrastructure/application monitoring/incident escalation and assist level 2
engineers to perform various basic & routine tasks in support of the server systems & network
systems within the Data Center/Server Farm under the IT Infrastructure. They will complement the
level 2 engineers by performing the various level 1 SOP tasks.
Responsibilities
- 24x7 monitoring Dashboard & Alerts/Incident escalation.
- IT Service Management incident tickets handling.
- Perform various types of level 1 basic & routine task like deploying the running of batch scripts & etc.
- Perform generation of various reports types.
- Generation of service / incident requests tickets.
- Follow documented procedures for incident management, which include identifying and determining the root cause and resolving the incident or escalating to level 2 support for resolution when necessary.
- Fulfilment/processing of simple service request by following instructions as detailed inside the request.
- Perform basic system and network administration tasks including troubleshooting, patching and monitoring of alerts.
- Work with the internal technical team to document and co-develop the operations manual for internal reference.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Diploma in Electrical / Electronic / Computer Engineering / Information Systems.
- Minimum of 1 year working experience within NOC(Network Operations Center) environment is preferred.
- Possess basic working knowledge and hands-on experience in Windows Server administration and/or equivalent in other platforms.
- Ability to perform shift work covering 24 x 7 support operations.
- Training will be provided to the candidate without relevant experience but displays aptitude to learn.
- Good command of spoken and written English.
- Flexible and able to handle work pressure.
- Able to carry out multiple tasks.
- Takes own initiative to learn and pick up new learning fast.
