Job Scope
- Assist and co-ordinate with SNM /NM in handling NUD Issues / Residents’ and family members enquires.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care as required by the Company’s quality procedures, guidelines, standard operating procedures and policy.
- Participate in orientation and in-service education programmes and supervise the care under his / her charge as required.
- Participate in any and all activities related to the smooth running of ward / unit.
- Identify competent Staff Nurse In-Charge / Level Supervisor / Staff in accordance to their job performance.
- Accountable for nursing care given ensures that personal practice and that of staff under supervision meets standards of practice.
- Maintain accurate documentation of resident care based on knowledge of the nursing process and related incidents.
- Ensure that the delivery of nursing care meets the resident’s specific needs, privacy and confidentiality.
- Update relevant internal personnel, external medical facility / institution and family members on resident conditions as and when required.
- Participate in review of processes which monitor care provision to residents.
- Assist doctors and nursing staff during treatments and examinations of residents.
- Ensure that all documentation in relation to all aspects of resident care management is accurately maintained (including investigation, analysis and reporting on incident reports). Supervise the staff under his / her charge in the delivery of quality residents' centered care, provide feedback to SNM / NM and document such information where necessary. Demonstrate good understanding of all nursing home procedures, guidelines, standard operating procedures and policies.
- Proficient in identifying root cause analysis for continual improvement.
- Observe, Counsel and Report repeated issues/behavior misfit supported by documented evidence, such as the Performance Improvement Plan (PIP), Internal Corrective Action Request (ICAR) to the SNM / NM.
- Audit and Check that all documentations (including investigation, analysis and reporting on incident report) are duly completed and filed.
- Assist the SNM / NM to submit monthly Training Assessments / Nominations for staff under his / her charge for evaluation.
- Attend appropriate education programmes for further self-development.
- Participate in ongoing and in-service educational activities.
- Participate in continuous improvement project (CIP).
- Maintain safe work practices and ensure a safe working environment which meets required standards.
- Familiar with all aspects of the nursing home emergency and evacuation procedures and guidelines.
- Participate in departmental quality procedures and guidelines and policy reviews when required
- Ensure compliance to the Company’s quality procedures, guidelines and policy. Monitor and report on non-compliance and implement necessary changes resulting from quality assurance findings in consultation with the SNM / NM.
Requirement
- Min Degree in Nursing
- Min 5 years of permanent nursing experience, must be recent experience
