Post Doctoral Fellow, Laboratory of Regulatory Genomics, GIS

A*star Research Entities

Laboratory of Regulatory Genomics is a cutting-edge research facility that focuses on the field of spatial and single-cell genomics. We are dedicated to developing tools and investigating the complex biology of individual cells to gain a deeper understanding of cellular processes and translate them into tangible therapeutics. Our research encompasses a wide range of applications, including cancer biology, drug development and drug delivery. Our team is composed of highly skilled and motivated researchers who work collaboratively to push the boundaries of single-cell genomics and contribute to the advancement of biomedical research.

We are seeking a talented Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team and work on Spatial and Single-cell Genomics projects. The successful candidate will have a PhD in molecular biology, genomics, or a related field, and will be responsible for designing, developing, and conducting experiments involving the integration of spatial transcriptomics and single-cell genomics related to drug discovery, development, and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute experiments to investigate gene expression in single-cells and spatially resolved tissue samples
  • Analyze data from transcriptomic and genomic assays including single-cell RNAseq, spatial transcriptomics, and other sequencing technologies
  • Develop and optimize experimental protocols for large scale single-cell genomics and/or spatial transcriptomics
  • Maintain detailed experimental records and contribute to scientific reports and publications
  • Collaborate with other members of the team to develop and implement research strategies

Qualifications:

  • A PhD in molecular biology, genomics, or a related field
  • Proven experience in single-cell genomics and/or spatial transcriptomics is a plus
  • Strong experience with molecular biology techniques, including sample preparation, RNA isolation, and sequencing library preparation
  • Proficient in data analysis tools such as R, Python
  • Experience with microscopy, image analysis, and statistical analysis would be advantageous
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other team members
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

The above eligibility criteria are not exhaustive. A*STAR may include additional selection criteria based on its prevailing recruitment policies. These policies may be amended from time to time without notice. We regret that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
