Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Data Analytics to lead our data analytics team in APAC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, a deep understanding of the forex trading market especially in Australia and APAC region, and the ability to drive strategic decision-making through data insights. This role is critical in shaping our data-driven strategy and enhancing our competitive edge in the forex trading industry.
Responsibilities:
Leadership and Strategy:
- Lead and manage the data analytics team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive data analytics strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with senior management to identify key business opportunities and challenges, leveraging data insights to drive decision-making.
Data Analysis and Insights:
- Oversee the collection, analysis, and interpretation of complex data sets related to forex trading activities.
- Utilize advanced statistical methods, machine learning, and predictive modeling to generate actionable insights.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
Market Research and Competitor Analysis:
- Conduct thorough market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats in the forex trading market.
- Provide strategic recommendations based on market insights to enhance our products and services.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including trading, risk management, marketing, and IT, to align data analytics initiatives with business needs.
- Communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in a leadership role within data analytics, preferably in the Forex/CFD trading industry in Australia and APAC.
- Strong understanding of forex trading markets, instruments, and trading strategies in Australia and APAC.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Comfortable to converse both English and Mandarin in order to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders stationed in Australia and APAC.
