Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the materials control and inventory management activities.
- Develop and implement effective material control strategies and processes to optimize inventory levels and minimize costs.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials.
- Monitor and analyze demand patterns to forecast material requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of material control activities with production schedules and customer demands.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and implement corrective actions to prevent stockouts and excess inventory.
- Manage purchase order documents.
- Implement and maintain material control systems and software.
- Generate reports and analysis on material usage, inventory levels, prices and cost performance.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies related to material control.
- Monitor and develop HSE initiatives.
Requirements:
- Min diploma in Logistics, Purchasing Management, Material or its equivalent.
- At least 5 years of experience in materials planning job roles, Preferably with 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Able to lead a team
- Experienced in MRP or SAP is an added advantage
