Responsibilities:
- Diagnostic Imaging:Perform X-rays, MRI, CT scans, and ultrasound procedures.
Ensure accurate patient positioning and optimal image quality.
Adjust imaging equipment settings as needed. - Patient Care:Prepare and explain procedures to patients.
Monitor patient safety during imaging.
Provide post-procedure care instructions. - Equipment Management:Operate and maintain radiographic equipment.
Report malfunctions and manage inventory. - Quality Control:Ensure compliance with protocols and safety standards.
Review and evaluate images for clarity and accuracy.
Participate in quality assurance activities. - Documentation:Document patient information and imaging results accurately.
Maintain confidentiality of patient data. - Collaboration:Work with radiologists and healthcare professionals.
Assist in training junior staff.
Participate in meetings and education activities. - Safety and Compliance:Follow radiation safety guidelines.
Adhere to hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Radiography or Medical Imaging.
- Registered with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC).
- Minimum 2 years of clinical radiography experience.
- Proficient in operating radiographic equipment.
- Strong anatomy and imaging technique knowledge.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- Willingness to work flexible hours.
