Responsible for handling of import and export shipments in timely manner and ensure all products comply with local Government law and Group directive.
What we’re looking for:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred, Freight Management or Supply Chain Management, Business & logistics, chemical, health care related major preferred
- Experience: Minimum 3 to 5years experiences in import/export/trade compliance role at Logistics department in multinational company(s).
- Collaboration Tool: Microsoft Teams experience preferred
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of customs regulation and process including FTA and export control, storage and transportation of Dangerous and Hazardous Goods and chemical.
- Knowledge of overall supply chain management is plus.
- Excellent communication skills including good spoken and written language
- Demonstrate proficiency in statistics, strong analytical ability, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and facilitation skills to effectively interact with all levels of business.
- Meticulous, responsible, and positive working attitude
- Good decision making in a fast-paced environment.
- Intermediate PC proficiency with advanced aptitude in MS Excel & PPT required.
- Proficiency in ERP system software required (SAP preferred)

- Coordinate and oversee shipping processes, ensuring on-time and accurate deliveries.
- Manage shipping documentation, including customs compliance for international shipments.
- Collaborate with carriers, suppliers, and internal teams to optimise shipping operations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency.
- Review freight rates and services from existing forwarders.
- Support Indirect Purchasing in negotiating of freight and contribute to margin expansion.
- Tracking of the cargo vessel and plane departure, transit, and arrival.
- Advise Customer Service/Commercial on preferred mode of shipment & incoterms.
- Verify all freight billings from forwarders and courier companies against approved quotation; follow up on errors in billing.
- Notify warehouse team on the arrival of containers/ shipments.
- Coordinate un-stuffing, stuffing, and timely collection of containers with the warehouse team and forwarders.
- Monitor shipment ETD & ETA date and ensure receipt of shipping documents from supplier.
- Liaise with 3rd party warehouse provider to ensure on time clearance and unstuffing.
- Liaise with courier in for urgent case of OBL submission from bank to carrier.
- Monitor and ensure the unstuffing report from 3rd party warehouse provider being received within working days after unstuffing.
- Check and ensure the accuracy of unstuffing report. For discrepancies, damage and torn bags.
- Submit claims to forwarder/Carriers on damages.
- Handle the general Import and Export Customs clearance by coordinating with Freight forwarder, and Singapore customs if needed. preparing related documents, and monitoring the status etc.
- Responsible and accountable to ensure all import and export HS codes are correctly applied to all incoming and outgoing shipments, types of Transaction, document preparation for import/export customs declaration.
- Ensure authorized brokers and forwarders comply with defined Company policy and monitor Customs broker/Forwarder and report the operation issue.
- Comply with internal policies, SOPs, local regulation, and Group directives.
- Support the regular and ad-hoc reports and the import and export and audits.
- Ensure incoming adhere to permit and licensing publish by Regulatory Affair.
