Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of applications/process/design engineers in designing and developing integrated solutions to support the preparation and development of technical and commercial proposals in support of the Business Development and project department internal or on-site
- Evaluate project specifications (URS) and provide technical expertise to ensure that solutions meet client needs and industry standards.
- Provide design review coordination and collaborate with internal and external teams to understand customer requirements and provide technical support during the pre/post sales process.
- Manage the application engineering process, including project scheduling, resource allocation, and budgeting.
- Oversee the preparation of engineering drawings, specifications, and other technical documents.
- Provide first level management for your direct reports, including goal setting, coaching, performance appraisals, and compensation recommendations.
- Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Prepare manpower projections and work plans for all design projects, control the quality of all drawings produced and ensure that the presentation of all drawings is standardized
- Previous experience in design, development, test, & evaluation of industrial equipment systems is preferred
- Experience in project planning, estimating, requirements development, and design verification/validation is preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
- Excellent design software and computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
- Degree in technology management (MSTM) or engineering management (MsEm or MEM) or diploma with relevant working experience are preferred
