Job brief
Reporting to the Production manager, you will assist to oversee production operations, monitor & mentor employees, organise workflows and ensure that processes are smooth and efficient, thereby guaranteeing the quality of output.
This role is an integral part of production, and a deep know-how in production procedures and complex operations is required. You should be able to optimize daily activities while minimizing costs. The goal is to ensure an efficient and productive manufacturing process that meets customer requirements and deliver quality products in a profitable manner.
Responsibilities
- Liaise with key stakeholders to understand requirements and formulate objectives.
- Determine necessary resources (manpower, materials etc), estimate production costs and prepare forecasts & budgets.
- Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines by preparing schedules and assigning responsibilities.
- Set daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicate them to production employees
- Check production output and ensure they meet standards and specifications
- Submit reports on performance and progress
- Identify and Rectify issues in production efficiency
- Supervise, coach and evaluate performance of production employees
- Ensure the safe use of equipment and schedule regular maintenance
- Train new employees on how to safely use machinery and follow established procedures
- Enforce safety guidelines and Company SOPs
Requirements:
- Tertiary education
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in food manufacturing / food and beverage operation sector
- Proven experience as Production Executive or similar role
- Deep knowledge of production planning and management
- Experience in using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools
- Experience in reporting on key production metrics
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
- Proficient in MS Office and ERP software
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skill
- Result driven with high level of competency in people supervision
