KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist Sous Chef to ensure quality meals are prepared by inmates in accordance to dietary requirements and proper standards are adhered at all stages
- Supervise inmates in daily food preparation, cooking and dishing in the kitchen
- Ensure daily food samples are collected and handled in a sterile manner and stored under appropriate conditions
- Follow strictly to proper handling of food items according to food hygiene and safety guidelines.
- Ensure inmates practice and follow on good personal hygiene, proper use of kitchen equipment and safe work practices.
- Ensure cleaning and sanitizing is executed by inmates after post kitchen operations
- Perform receiving and inspect deliveries to ensure they match PO orders.
- Maintain excellent relationships with Singapore Prison Services and YRI, ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene; practise workplace safety at all times.
- Maintain personal knowledge by completing in-house training.
- Always adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Professional representation of the company through personal conduct and appearance.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 2 years working experience in food and beverage operations
- Conversant in English and write simple English
- Ability to work and guide inmates in the kitchen
- Possess food and hygiene certificate
