JOB SUMMARY
YMCA Youth For Causes (YFC) programme (www.youthforcauses.com) empowers youths aged 15 to 25 to champion social causes they are passionate about. Each year, up to 100 teams of four youths each receive seed funding, training, and mentorship to raise public awareness, funds, and mobilize volunteers for a social service organization of their choice over a 15-week implementation period.
We are seeking a passionate and organized Programme Executive to lead and expand our YFC programme. This role involves overseeing the design, planning, and execution of youth-driven initiatives from the ground up, enabling young leaders to make a meaningful impact in their communities. The ideal candidate will inspire and support youths to become innovative, compassionate, and resilient change-makers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Programme Development and Execution:
- Oversee all logistical aspects of the programme, including event planning, resource allocation, and timeline management.
- Coordinate the 15-week implementation period for youth teams, ensuring they receive adequate support and resources.
Youth Engagement and Mentorship:
- Recruit, train, and mentor youth participants, providing guidance and support throughout their projects.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions to equip participants with the necessary skills.
- Build a strong network of mentors and volunteers to support the youth teams.
Stakeholder Management:
- Establish and maintain partnerships with social service organizations, educational institutions, and other key stakeholders.
- Act as the primary liaison between participants, mentors, organizations, and the YFC programme team.
Communication and Promotion:
- Develop and implement a communication strategy to promote the YFC programme and its initiatives.
- Manage the programme’s website, portal and social media platforms, ensuring timely and engaging content.
Administrative and Financial Oversight:
- Maintain an efficient filing system for all programme-related documents and data.
- Track and manage the programme’s budget, ensuring all expenditures are within allocated limits.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Degree or Diploma in any related field.
- Passion for youth development, volunteerism, and community service.
- Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and solve problems.
- Effective communication skills across different platforms and levels, both verbal and written.
- Good knowledge of office management systems and procedures, with attention to detail.
- Tech-savvy and proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Proficiency in graphic design (Photoshop, Illustrator, web editor, etc.) is a plus.
