This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer of SEA, and the candidate will be based in Singapore.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic planning of the group to expand into the South East Asian markets.
- Line management and oversight of operational, transactional and support functions for a high-volume logistics network, ensuring the achievement of safety, quality, financial (cost & productivity) and performance objectives for the SEA network.
- Work collaboratively with the Group’s HQ to ensure regional objectives are aligned and spearhead the expansion of operations within SEA.
- Monitor and react to regional KPIs, metrics and reports to ensure the performance of the regional logistics operation as well as drive monthly operational results and meeting cadence.
- Develop strategies and resolve problems and escalations concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports, exports and customer issues.
- Evaluate and review the business practices of logistics operations to streamline and eliminate non-value-added activities and plan and implement improvements to internal or external logistics systems and processes to drive operational efficiency and cost reduction targets.
Requirements:
- Minimum 12 years of experience, preferably in the shipping & logistics industry, with at least 5 years experience in a senior management role.
- Possesses a network with potential customers and shipowners or related individuals.
- Fluent in both English and Mandarin, written and spoken.
