Responsible for the setup, configuration, and maintenance of our systems and storage infrastructure. This role requires a deep understanding of VMware, SAN, storage networking, Windows servers, and backup solutions. Additionally, the candidate should be adept at translating high-level designs and BOMs into low-level designs and deployment workbooks, and visualizing these designs using tools like Visio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setup and configure VMware environments.
- Setup and configure SAN switches and storage solutions.
- Setup and configure iSCSI and FC storage systems.
- Manage storage networking and ensure optimal performance.
- Setup and configure Windows servers, Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
- Implement and manage backup solutions to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system and storage issues.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate systems and storage solutions.
- Analyze high-level designs and BOMs, translating them into low-level designs and deployment workbooks.
- Visualize designs using tools such as Visio.
- Document system configurations, changes, and incidents for future reference.
- Provide technical support and training to clients and internal staff.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to recommend and implement best practices.
