Job Summary:

As an Events Management Intern, you will support the Events Manager and team in coordinating and executing events from concept to completion. This internship offers a hands-on learning experience in event planning, logistics, and client management in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Event Planning Support: Assist in planning events, including developing concepts, themes, and timelines.
  • Vendor Coordination: Communicate with vendors to arrange services, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Logistics Management: Help manage event logistics, including venue setup, equipment rental, transportation, and accommodation arrangements.
  • Budget Tracking: Assist in tracking event budgets, managing expenses, and ensuring cost-effective solutions.
  • Marketing and Promotion: Support the marketing team in promoting events through social media, email campaigns, and other marketing channels.
  • Client Communication: Assist in communicating with clients to understand their needs, provide updates, and ensure their satisfaction.
  • On-Site Support: Provide on-site support during events, including setup, coordination, and troubleshooting.
  • Post-Event Activities: Assist in post-event activities such as feedback collection, reporting, and thank-you communications.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform various administrative tasks, including maintaining event documentation, preparing materials, and coordinating meetings.
  • Business Development: Identifying and finding new clients.

Learning Outcome:

  • Develop skills in negotiating and coordinating with vendors and suppliers.
  • Understand the logistics involved in event planning, including venue selection, setup, transportation, and accommodation arrangements.
  • Understand how to create and implement marketing strategies to increase engagement in our events
  • Enhance communication and interpersonal skills by interacting with clients to understand their needs and ensure good customer service.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Diploma or currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Good critical thinking skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, adaptable, able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Can commit for at least 3 months.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
