Responsiblities:
- Identify knowledge gaps and future training needs related to sustainability practices.
- Develop comprehensive training plans, delivery methods, and materials to enhance technical knowledge across the organisation.
- Ensure timely registration and communication of internal training opportunities.
- Coordinate and document training activities, conduct staff orientations, and evaluate training effectiveness.
- Support compliance with Energy Conservation Act (ECA), Carbon Pricing Acts (CPA), and Public Utilities Board (PUB) regulations.
- Participate in audits, site visits, and dialogues with regulatory authorities and third-party agencies (NEA, PUB, JTC).
- Assist in internal audits related to Energy Management System and GHG verification processes.
- Collect and analyse data on utilities consumption and GHG emissions.
- Assist in updating monitoring plans, procedures, and reporting systems.
- Analyse consumption patterns and trends using modelling techniques.
- Promote awareness and initiatives to reduce energy, utility, GHG emissions, and water consumption.
- Support the exploration and implementation of effective utility management practices.
- Assist in developing carbon-neutral and decarbonisation programs aligned with business and environmental sustainability goals.
- Contribute to proposal development for new projects, including cost estimates and anticipated energy savings.
- Collaborate with other departments during project execution phases.
- Monitor and evaluate both short-term and long-term strategies aimed at reducing utilities consumption and enhancing sustainability.
Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical/Chemical/Process Engineering is required.
- Water Efficiency Manager (WEM) certification is an advantage.
- Able to demonstrate the working ability to calculate GHG emissions based on internationally recognized methodologies.
- At least 1 year of experience in energy management, utility management, water efficiency management and GHG emissions in relevant industries.
- Prior experience working in the engineering and/or chemical industry is an advantage.
