.Net Developer - Dot Net Developer (Contract) - C#, .Net
An opportunity has arisen within our dynamic software development team for an experienced developer specializing in financial regulatory reporting platforms. This role requires extensive expertise in C# .NET, .NET Core, Angular, and microservices architecture, where you will play a pivotal role in crafting scalable and efficient software applications to meet our business requirements. Previous hands-on experience in constructing technology platforms for regulatory reporting, particularly MIFID and MAS, would be highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
As an accomplished developer, responsibilities include:
- Designing and enhancing application user interfaces using Angular to deliver interactive and efficient layouts for optimal user experience.
- Developing robust and scalable microservices using C# .NET and .NET Core, serving as the core business logic of our applications.
- Implementing Test-Driven Development (TDD) principles and conducting thorough unit testing to ensure high-quality code.
- Developing and maintaining databases using SQL Server and PostgreSQL within the AWS environment.
- Managing AWS resources such as Containers and EKS to enhance application scalability and reliability.
- Integrating our software with existing systems, focusing on streaming technologies such as Kafka and MSMQ.
- Utilizing TeamCity and Octopus for continuous integration and deployment of applications.
- Collaborating with fellow developers to enhance existing systems and platforms, and providing technical support to resolve system issues.
- Engaging with business stakeholders to demonstrate excellent communication skills and agile development practices.
Skills/Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- Extensive hands-on experience as a Senior .NET Developer.
- Proficiency in Angular for UI development, along with a solid grasp of HTML5/CSS3.
- Strong skills in .NET Core and C# for mid-tier development.
- Deep understanding of design/architectural patterns and experience with microservices architecture.
- Practical knowledge of back-end technologies including ASP.NET framework, SQL Server, and AWS technologies like PostgreSQL, Containers, and EKS.
- Familiarity with streaming technologies such as Kafka and MSMQ for system integration.
- Proficiency in Git for version control, with experience in TeamCity and Octopus for CI/CD.
- Demonstrated understanding of Test-Driven Development (TDD) principles and experience with unit testing frameworks.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and effective teamwork capabilities.
- Experience with Agile development practices and collaboration with business stakeholders.
- Familiarity with financial regulatory reporting platforms like MIFID and MAS is advantageous.
