Job Purpose:
The Software Developer works with the Business Analyst and/or Business and Functional Leaders to perform tasks related to the design, development, modification, and administration of software systems and applications. This is a user-facing role, requiring the successful candidate to build strong relationships with the Business and project teams and act as the first point of contact with management and subject matter experts.
Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day operational user support and improvement of existing systems and processes to support the business
- Improve design, configure and implement data integration between multiple enterprise systems and future strategy towards enterprise integration platform
- Investigate, recommend and implement new technology/application to enhance capability
- SQL Database Administrator, Designs/Maintain BI Reports (Tableau/Power BI)
- Develop and manage the Microsoft 365 SharePoint Site, Applications and Website
- Working with users to develop new report requirements, changes to existing reports, and identify reporting errors
- Use Microsoft technologies: .NET, SQL, Azure and Power BI to develop technical solutions to complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity
- Collaborate on software development tasks including technical designs and development of cloud base system
- Design, build, deploy and iterate code; extract, transform and load data for business planning and analytics
- Learn new technologies and utilize software best practices to design data structures, build and customise applications, and develop and maintain reports
- Undertake any other IT activities as required
Qualifications:
Diploma / Degree in Computer Science
Experience:
5+ years of overall software development experience
Competency:
- Full-stack experience with website, C#, SQL, and JavaScript and Microsoft Power Platform
- Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform is highly desirable including Power BI
- Strong experience in Microsoft Azure environment (API Management/ App Services / Service Bus / Functions / Table storage / ARM templates / Logic Apps / Containerisation / Orchestration & etc.)
- Experience in building api and microservices with .net core (c#), azure services
- Experience working with API technologies on RESTFUL or SOAP, and SOA design principles Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Desire to lead and collaborate with Developers, Business Analysts and subject matter experts
- Strong diagnostic skills and ability to research, troubleshoot, and logically determine solutions
- Ability to author, understand, and translate business-level acceptance criteria into technical designs
- Understand data models (table structures, linkages, optimal designs) to design a microservice
- Strong relational database knowledge (SQL, DB2, MySQL)
- Experience in Infor M3 and/or MS Dynamics AX will be an advantage
