We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Compax BSS L2 Production Support Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, support, and optimization of our Compax Business Support System (BSS) platform. This role involves troubleshooting technical issues, providing exceptional customer support, and ensuring the smooth operation of the BSS environment.
Key Responsibilities:
System Monitoring and Maintenance
- Monitor the health and performance of the BSS platform.
- Perform routine maintenance, updates, patches, and backups.
- Plan and manage system capacity to ensure scalability.
Technical Support and Troubleshooting
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve technical issues related to the BSS platform.
- Conduct root cause analysis to prevent issue recurrence.
- Manage and document incidents from detection through resolution.
Customer Interaction and Support
- Provide technical support to customers, addressing their queries and issues.
- Conduct training sessions and assist with user onboarding.
- Collect and analyse customer feedback to improve service quality.
System Configuration and Customization
- Configure system settings and parameters according to customer requirements.
- Implement custom features and functionalities as needed.
- Conduct testing and validation of system changes and customizations.
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and incident reports.
- Generate regular performance, incident, and support activity reports.
Collaboration and Coordination
- Collaborate with support engineers, developers, and IT teams to resolve complex issues.
- Coordinate with software vendors and third-party providers for support and updates. Perform routine maintenance tasks, including monitoring, debugging, and troubleshooting OutSystems applications to ensure optimal performance and availability.
- Implement application updates, patches, and configuration changes as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with Compax Business Support Systems.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Elasticsearch, Kibana, Prometheus).
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to Compax BSS applications.
- Proficiency in database management (SQL), scripting (Python, Bash), and knowledge of networking principles.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
