Key accountabilities
- Manage GL shared service team in the financial close processes, ensure accurate processing, recording and reporting of monthly/quarterly/year-end financial information in compliance to statutory reporting and Group reporting
- Review/prepare supporting schedules, tax provision, account reconciliations, journal entries and balance sheet analysis
- Reconcile and rectify intercompany differences
- Take responsibility of the yearly financial audit and review/prepare financial statements
- Ensure compliance to ACRA and IRAS tax filing, audits and regulatory reporting
- Coordinate and liaise closely with external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretary, local tax and government authorities.
- Integration of GL function shared services, and to streamline, standardize new or improvements to process or systems
- Provide leadership, development and mentoring to the GL accounting staff
- Preparation of consolidated sub-group’s financial statements and other relevant supporting schedules and listing required by Group
- Support implementation of new Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (International), process re-design and system implementation/enhancement
- Any ad-hoc duties as assigned
Skills & experience
- 8 years of Finance/Accounting experience of which 3 years of managerial experience
- Bachelor Degree in Accountancy/Finance or equivalent professional qualification
- Experience in organisation with large transactional volumes with exposure to a wide range of finance and accounting responsibilities
- Strong in accounting principles and working knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (International)
- Strong planning skills and ability to work under pressure to support dynamic business requirements and meet tight reporting timelines
- High degree of initiative & problems solving skills with good report writing and communication skills
- Proficient in MS excel and MS word
- Knowledge of SAP and Hyperion system would be an added advantage.
