This position reports directly to the Managing Director. This role offers a unique opportunity for a highly motivated individual to gain valuable experience in business development within a dynamic international law firm. You will support the firm's growth strategy, specifically focusing on expanding our client base in Singapore, Malaysia and the United States, with an emphasis on companies seeking SGX or NASDAQ listings.
This traineeship provides exposure to various aspects of business development, including market research, client relationship management, proposal development, and event coordination. The ideal candidate will gain hands-on experience while contributing to the firm's success in attracting new clients in these key markets.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research to identify potential clients in Singapore and the US, particularly those targeting NASDAQ listings.
- Assist with developing and maintaining a comprehensive client database.
- Prepare initial client contact materials, such as presentations and brochures.
- Compile competitive intelligence reports on legal services offered by other firms in the region.
- Prepare proposals and presentations tailored to the specific needs of potential clients.
- Assist in coordinating meetings and follow-up communication with potential clients.
Required skills/competencies:
- Excellent research and analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
