Grief Counsellor

The Role: To provide cancer counselling and education, conduct and facilitate support group programmes to cancer patients under Parkway Oncology Clinical Programme.

Key accountabilities:

  • To provide counselling service to cancer patients, their caregivers and/ or significant others in coping with the disease.
  • To support, educate and raise awareness of cancer for staff, patients and public through training, support programmes or outreach engagement activities.
  • To review existing and develop new resources for patients and caregivers to enhance their understanding of cancer in relation to psychological health.
  • To participate in any project undertaken by the Allied Health Department
  • To guide peer counsellors in ensuring clinical standards and continuing education are in place (for Senior Counsellor)

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master in Counselling recognized by Singapore Association of Counselling (SAC) for Counsellor.
  • At least 3 years clinical experience in direct counselling work. (5 years for
  • Senior Counsellor)
  • Prior experiences in medical/ hospital setting preferred.
  • Relevant experiences in working with grief and bereavement would be an advantage. 5. Preferably registered with SAC.
  • Bilingual; fluent in spoken and written English and another language.
