Position Overview
We are seeking a polished, energetic, confident go-getter to join our team as Corporate Volunteer Manager. This is not your typical nonprofit volunteer manager position—here, you'll be engaging with senior business volunteers from a wide range of industries, driving volunteer engagement through your strong sales orientation and networking prowess.
Reporting to the CEO, you will be responsible for driving all activities related to volunteer recruitment, engagement and retention for talenTtrust. If you are excited about creating a vibrant community of dedicated volunteers who want to share their skills for good, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
- Lead on the development and implementation of outreach plans for recruiting new senior business volunteers, including both individual and corporate volunteers.
- Identify and cultivate partnerships with new business and professional networks to grow our pipeline of senior corporate volunteers and represent talenTtrust at relevant networking events to foster valuable connections.
- As the first point of contact for talenTtrust, respond to all new volunteer enquiries in a timely manner, conduct all preliminary new volunteer interviews to gauge interest, and be the go to person for information about all talenTtrust programmes.
- Coordinate with the Programme Management team to assess nonprofit partners needs and match volunteers based on their skills and interests.
- Plan and lead on volunteer training including onboarding and induction, as well as the creation and facilitation of a suite of engaging volunteer training resources to support our volunteers growth and development.
- Craft and execute a comprehensive volunteer community engagement strategy including thought leadership and volunteer appreciation events to ensure retention of existing volunteers.
- Collaborate with the Programmes team to contribute to the creation of new, innovative volunteering programmes.
- Strategise and assist to execute digital marketing efforts highlighting talenTrust volunteers.
- Maintain accurate records of volunteer key information in talenTtrust’s CRM, and develop reports to provide data and insights on volunteer engagement and impact.
Desired Skills and Experience
- At least 5 years proven experience in a front facing volunteer, member engagement, partnership engagement role, preferably in a membership-based organization.
- Results driven, self-starter with a proven ability to outreach and build relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders such as senior corporate leaders, professional associations, businesses, philanthropic and nonprofit organisations.
- Superior communication skills, including written and verbal, and prior facilitation or training delivery is desirable.
- Well developed interpersonal skills, professional presence and high level of emotional intelligence.
- Experience developing thoughtful, innovative membership or volunteer related programming.
- Familiarity with corporate CSR, foundations, and non-profit sector would be advantageous
- Recognised degree relating to business, marketing or social sciences.
