We are representing our client in the Shipping industry to hire for an Accountant.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee financial closing activities, manage accounts payable and receivable.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation for audit purposes.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and annual reports in a timely and precise manner.
- Support the annual audit process, handle tax filing matters, and undertake any additional assignments as required.
- Ensure adherence to accounting, tax, statutory, and regulatory standards.
- Aid in the implementation and improvement of systems as needed.
- Participate in various projects and other initiatives on an ad-hoc basis.
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Accountancy, ACCA, or an equivalent qualification; Chartered Accountant (CA) preferred.
- Approximately 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, either in the shipping, transport or logistics industry.
- Proficient in accounting software like justlogin or XERO, knowledgeable in tax regulations, and skilled in MS Excel.
- Detail-oriented, able to work independently, and a strong team player.
- Other qualities include responsibility, organization, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
