Our client is a leading A1 main contractor with over 50 years of history in Singapore. Their projects are mainly condominiums, HDB, industrial, data centre and school institutions. Currently they are looking for Senior/Quantity Surveyor, Tender to be based in HQ. This role is 5-day work/week and office location is at city fringe area.
about the job
- Understand tender requirements
- Exercise collaborative plan and define extend of works
- Timely management of tender activities
- General duty includes measurement of quantity, collect quotations, cost comparison and participate in preparing tender price
- Review quotations with the designated specification
- Review quantities and cross check for possible items that may have been overlooked
- Proof reading for tender responses to highlight areas for incorporation of quantity and ensure issuance to stakeholders to quote for works
- Price negotiations with subcontractor/partners.
- Review of cost impact (value engineering proposal/ variations)
skills & experience required
- Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying/Building or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in the local building construction industry. Main contractor experience is preferred
- Experience in tendering work.
- Sound computer literacy including advanced skills in Excel. Proficient in Cubicost Glodon will be a plus.
