About the Opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic local student leader or chaperone to provide guidance, care, and support during our upcoming summer camp. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with youth, enjoys outdoor activities, and has an enthusiasm for sharing local culture and knowledge.
Job Duration: July 29th to August 2nd, 2024
Responsibilities:
- Provide full-day supervision and support for a group of 20 teenage students from Taiwan.
- Foster a safe, engaging, and fun environment for all camp participants.
- Organize and participate in daily camp activities, ensuring each student feels included and valued.
- Lead educational sessions and tours that highlight local customs, history, and attractions.
- Serve as a cultural ambassador, sharing insights and knowledge about local heritage.
- Address any issues or emergencies that may arise in a responsible and effective manner.
Candidate Requirements:
- Must be 25 years of age or older by the start date of the camp.
- -Ability to commit fully to the duration of the summer camp, from July 29th to August 2nd, 2024.
- Energetic, fit, and able to actively engage in outdoor and cultural activities.
- Friendly, outgoing personality with strong leadership skills.
- Excellent command of the English language, both spoken and written.
- Previous experience in leading or mentoring teenagers is highly regarded.
- A genuine interest in promoting cultural exchange and interaction.
- First aid certification or willingness to obtain it before the commencement of the camp is an asset.
