Key Responsibilities
Reporting into the Managing Director – Far East, the Business Development Manager will play a key part in the success of the Retail division through growing existing accounts and identifying new business opportunities.
Other responsibilities include:
- Work closely with the Managing Director to shape, implement and drive the Retail and Events sales strategy to achieve projected growth in line with the wider business goals.
- Manage and mentor the Sales BDE, providing guidance and support to encourage ongoing professional development.
- Own the Retail and Events sales budget, set and align team and individual objectives to ensure targets are met and course correct if necessary.
- Identify potential new and existing opportunities and maximising sales output from these.
- Build strong and lasting relationships with key external stakeholders, positioning Lowe Corp as a supplier of choice.
- Develop and maintain an excellent understanding of key customer needs, maximising potential sales opportunities.
- Be fully conversant in our solutions and advising clients on services and products through upselling and cross-selling.
- Undertake market research and analysis with the global Marketing team to inform the business planning process.
- Accurately monitor and record all sales figures, produce monthly and quarterly sales reports.
· Understand industry-specific trends and landscapes.
- Work closely with the wider sales team to identify opportunities and provide support and assistance when required.
- In line with Lowe brand, act with the highest degree of integrity and professionalism at all times.
Essential Skills and Experience

As a key appointment within the business, this role attaches a significant level of responsibility and requires the following skills and experience;
· Significant experience of operating in an Account Management or Business Development role within a high growth environment in Singapore. Experience of selling a rental product or service offering, along with a familiarity with refrigeration, would be desirable, but is not essential.
· Proven experience of upselling and cross-selling product offerings and growing accounts.
· Experience of managing and developing a team of sales professionals.
· Demonstrable experience of achieving set sales targets.
· Strong customer facing skills at all levels.
· Strong communication and presentation skills.
· Excellent organisational and time management capability.
· Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to create and sustain professional relationships.
· Computer literate.
· Keen interest in working within a busy and diverse environment.
· Strong language skills in both English and Mandarin, spoken and written.
· A driver’s license is desirable but not essential.
