Responsibilities
- Plan and manage the day-to-day operations and administration of the Library and collection development within the approved budget
- Plan, develop and implement library policies and Standard Operating Procedures (“SOPs”) for library operation and management
- Monitor compliance with SOPs
- Provide monthly reports including updates on library publicity efforts, number of enquiries and response time, number of loans, inter-library loans, and document delivery service, usage of databases, journals and eBooks, budget utilisation, collection summary and amendments to statutes, as well as other statistics / information
- Manage the Library Management System (“LMS”) (the Library’s online catalogue system) and RFID Management System to maintain accuracy of data in LMS and to monitor the movements of library items
- Plan and prepare the annual budget report and monitor budget utilisation
- Assist in asset tracking
- Prepare Library’s performance report in accordance with AGC’s requirements
- Manage the lists of User IDs and Passwords for knowledge databases, including onboarding new officers and offboarding departing officers, library-related administrative duties
Requirements
Experience in managing a law library is preferred.
- A recognised degree (in any discipline)
- A postgraduate qualification in library and information management is preferred
- Experience in managing libraries of similar capacity
