Job Description
General Duties
- Ensure consistency and compliance of Bata operating and service standards, policies and procedures.
- Ensure high standards of store operations are achieved at all times, providing consumers with a high-quality shopping and brand experience.
- Work closely with Merchandiser in stock allocation and planning.
- Establish with the Store Operations Manager, O.T.B. and ensure having the right quantities of merchandise at the right place, at the right price and at the right time to meet sales and profit objectives.
- Analyze and evaluate the Store Report Recap and other merchandising reports and take corrective actions.
- Ensure all retail operations reports are completed properly and timely
- Ensure no merchandise in stock is 1 year or older.
- Ensure all stores are supplied according to schedule and local requirements
- Achieve an overall stock turn as per company target
- Ensure product selection for all stores are based on grades / bands that reflect consumer profiles, competitive landscape and store formats
- Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations
- Loss prevention a key operational discipline
Marketing and Visual Merchandising:
- Ensure Retail Marketing plans are executed seasonally – aligned with brand marketing plans
- Work in accordance with Regional and Local VM standards and execute the look-and-feel of the store as pre-agreed
Store Visits:
- Ensure store visits are done consistently and take corrective measures if needed for business growth
- Prepare store visit checklist reports for weekly review with Retail / Store Operations Manager
Staff Control:
- Monitoring in the retail stores/outlets to ensure proper staffing for attainment of profit objectives
Leadership – Proposing Decision and Actions:
- Develop a team of Store Managers / Trainee Managers capable of executing strategies and meeting financial objectives and secure succession plan through effective hiring, development, training and staff retention program
- Support direct reports in solving cross-functional and HR issues
Job Requirements
- At least minimum of 3 to 5 Year(s) of related working experience in a similar role in retail industry (Shoes/Sports/Apparels related) is required for this position.
- Good management and leadership skills to lead Shop Managers and Retail Staff
- Hands on and willingness to perform operational work, when required
- Good written and verbal communication
- Positive mindset
