Job Summary
The job incumbent will be a member of the HSE team responsible for ensuring the worksite comply with all regulatory requirements, as well as corporate safety standards in the workplace.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Implement new HSE programs or initiatives
- Responsible for meeting all environmental reporting requirements
- Conduct internal audits and follow-up on regional audits for compliance validation
- Support implementation and renewal of the site's HSE Management System and compliance with its requirements
- Oversee and conduct all required regulatory and compliance training
- Conduct new employee HSE training
- Conduct on-site inspections and identify workplace hazards and unsafe equipment
- Access workplaces, review risk assessments and safe work procedures, as well as approve Permit-To-Work
- Educate and train employees on Fire-fighting and WSH issues
- Facilitate acquisition of all necessary permits and licenses from government agency
- Manage incidents including the oversight of injuries, incident investigation, Root Cause/Corrective and Preventive Action analysis, and action tracking
- Support site leadership on emergency response-related activities including involvement in the crisis management protocol
- Support HSE committee meetings
- Drive safety promotional activities and events
- Analyze WSH performance metrics and review incident trends. This include preparing report/ dashboard for stakeholders.
- Work closely with the corporate Safety team to roll out global safety initiatives.
- Any other duties as assigned by the HSE department head.
Qualifications and Skills
- Degree in WSH or HSE equivalent qualification
- Minimum 4 to 6 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Advanced certificate in WSH (Level B) or higher
- Strong understanding of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, SS506 part 3 and applicable legal requirements
- Good HSE management system, excellent interpersonal and coordination skills
- Experience in application of Artificial Intelligence into the HSE context would be advantageous
- Familiarity with regional legal regulations would be advantageous
- Well versed in MS Office
