Purpose of Role:
Join the dynamic Corporate Development team in Asia as the key lead for new technology adoption. Collaborate closely with Consumer Care and Life Sciences divisions to drive innovation and sustainability, ensuring company achieves its ambitious targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Innovation Leadership: Spearhead new technology projects, assessing their potential revenue and sustainability impact for company
- Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with R&D leaders across Asia to present and pitch innovative technologies, securing funding and ensuring successful rollouts.
- Technology Scouting: Source and evaluate new technologies that can boost revenue for Consumer Care and Life Sciences divisions.
- Academic and External Engagement: Engage with specialist academics and external advisors, navigating budget constraints to leverage cutting-edge expertise.
- Grant Management: Liaise with Singapore’s Economic Development Board (EDB) and A*STAR to secure grants, managing the entire process meticulously.
- Reporting and Communication: Ensure thorough external and internal reporting, enhancing communication within the broader R&D community about the impact of new technologies.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 5 years experiences in Open Innovation or New Technology Projects within chemical or life sciences industry
- Education: Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Biotechnology related field
- Passion for Innovation: Demonstrated enthusiasm for new technologies and sustainability.
- Networking Skills: Proven ability to network and influence, with comfort in meeting new people and forging industry connections.
- Communication Skills: Eloquent communicator capable of effective pitching and presentation to business leaders.
