The Digital Video & Social Media Intern will support the Digital Video & Social Media team to strategically promote CNBC’s digital properties and drive traffic through social publishing of multimedia content. This role is ideal for university undergraduates aspiring to explore a career in multimedia news journalism. You have keen interests and passion in business, economics, and financial markets. There will also be opportunities to learn about business and markets, as well as the fundamentals of journalism.
Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Drive traffic and awareness of CNBC’s digital properties through social publishing of multimedia content in a timely fashion
- Assist with video live streaming for selected events
- Support field production of native content for CNBC’s social media platforms
- Be involved in the pre-production and post-production of digital videos, such as planning and coordinating logistics, video editing etc
- Work closely with colleagues in EMEA to amplify CNBC content on social media platforms
- Collaborate with the wider newsroom — TV, Features and Digital — for joint projects to achieve strategic goals through social media platforms
- Compile reports for social media campaigns, monthly statistics and digital video performance
