Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership to manage the site which comprises of structural and M&E Resident Engineers and a team of resident technical officers (RTOs). To act as Team Leader to manage coordination amongst the REs. To supervise and be responsible for the implementation of architectural works on site to ensure that all works comply fully with contract and approved shop drawings.
- Report to architectural QP regularly on progress of works and evaluate the ongoing performance of contractor and brief project team accordingly.
- Work closely with architectural QP to ensure all regulatory Authorities’ requirements are complied with and implemented.
- Implement and sustain the site supervision quality of the RTOs & safety and security assurance system.
- Understand and interpret drawings and contract documents, resolve site and technical issues.
- Prepare and document detailed site progress reports.
- Spot and foresee potential issues, preempt abortive works by identifying non-compliance at an early stage, followed by close coordination with QP to resolve the details for timely progress of works.
- Carry out regular site checks on contractors and ensure compliance with health and work safety per MOM regulations.
- Attend site progress, technical, client-consultant, variation, coordination meetings etc., with the project team and client.
- Ensure that proper site documentation for ongoing works, site meetings, safety records, method statements, shop drawings, as-built submissions etc., are well managed and relayed.
- To attend all site coordination meetings, technical meetings and site progress meetings.
Requirements:
- Possess a recognized Architectural degree acceptable for registration with the BOA Singapore. Registration with BOA is an added advantage.
- Minimum eight (8) years of Architectural experience supervising institutional buildings of reasonable complexity. Good knowledge of the conservation trade and restoration techniques is an added advantage.
- Possess a complete understanding of local regulations/ codes for building projects, complying with BCA's criteria for buildability and safety assurance systems.
- Good supervisory and leadership skills, with experience leading a team of RTOs.
- Supervision and manage site supervisors for architecture work.
- A good team player with effective communication skills and the ability to interact with people at all levels.
- Able to work overtime when required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Knowledge of BIM and VDC capabilities will be an added advantage.
- Able to start work around September 2024.
- Contract period: 36 months, subject to extension.
