About Us:
We are a growing Math Academy that specializes in PSLE, O & A Level Mathematics. We believe in teaching mathematics as a language, where each concept builds upon the foundations of previous topics rather than as isolated topics. This helps students see how different mathematical ideas relate to each other, contributing to a more comprehensive understanding of the subject.
We aim to foster mathematical and critical thinking, develop problem-solving skills, and prepare students for future challenges.
What You Will Be Involved In:
- Conduct Engaging Math Classes: Deliver dynamic and interactive math lessons aligned with the MOE syllabus to a variety of student levels.
- Monitor Student Progress: Track and assess student performance, providing timely feedback and support to ensure continuous improvement.
- Curriculum Development: Collaborate with our team to design and refine math curriculum and teaching materials based on the latest educational trends and student needs.
- Parental Engagement: Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress and provide constructive feedback to support their learning journey.
- Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training and peer-sharing sessions to enhance your teaching skills and stay updated with innovative teaching methodologies.
Requirements:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a STEM-related field from a recognized institution.
- Passion for Teaching: Genuine enthusiasm for teaching math and a desire to make a positive impact on students' academic journeys.
- Commitment: Ability to commit for at least 3-5 years, with a willingness to undergo comprehensive training in our proprietary teaching methods. We are looking for someone to grow together with Mathathon.
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and team members.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to a positive and supportive workplace culture.
- Experience: Previous teaching experience in tuition centres or MOE schools is an advantage, but entry-level candidates with a strong aptitude for teaching are also welcome.
Remuneration and Supplemental Pay:
- Salary: Starting from $3500 onwards, commensurate with qualifications and experience
