Job Description
- Lead modeling efforts on civil and structural engineering projects.
- Work closely with design engineers to develop 3D models required for tender and construction drawings, and authority submissions.
- Maintain and update BIM models throughout the project lifecycle, involving in multi-party BIM coordination.
- Identify and resolve coordination/interface issues with project engineers, subconsultants, contractors and clients.
- Prepare information and model compliance to the Project scope, such as BIM Execution Plan (BEP), Level of Information required, Model Production Deliverable Table (MPDT), Plain Language Report and COBIE data set etc.
- Provide guidance and training to junior BIM modellers.
- Create Civil 3D customized subassemblies, Revit Families and CAD blocks.
- Setting up project base files, ensuring compliance with the approved BIM Execution Plan, BIM Scope Plans and CAD standards.
- Prepare authorities’ submission drawings, forms, and documents. Ensure accuracy and completeness of work assignments when adhering to deadlines.
- Proficiently use of BIM technologies both in the cloud and managed systems to integrate Project Information Model (PIM).
- Be familiar and proficient with the interoperability functions between AutoCAD, Revit and Civil3D to facilitate cross-referencing of models and drawings for clash detection and drawing production.
- Understand BCA’s CorenetX submission requirements and adopt new practices into drafting framework and support drafting team’s transition to CorenetX.
- Assist in updating company BIM workflows and processes upon adoption of new BIM technologies.
Requirements
- Minimum diploma in civil engineering. Certification in BIM for structure track or BIM Management is a plus.
- At least 5 years of BIM modelling and coordination experience is preferred.
- Proficient in BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, Autodesk Civil3D and AutoCAD software.
- Demonstrate reliable, responsive, and positive work attitude.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of construction and building materials is a plus.
This position is a 3-year contract with the possibility of contract renewal or conversion to a permanent position.
