The Company
The company is a prominent player in the shipping industry with network of offices in international locations. They are now looking to recruit a Compliance Specialist to join their team.
The Position
Reporting to the Compliance Manager, the Compliance Specialist will play a pivotal role in developing, implementing, and updating our policies and procedures. Additionally, they will assess existing procedures to ensure the presence of robust controls. The role will entail maintaining a meticulously organized repository of policies and procedures, fostering a culture of compliance risk awareness within the group, and conducting initial sanctions screenings during vendor onboarding processes. Naturally, oversight and support of the counterparty KYC and sanction screening workflow will be essential responsibilities.
The Person
To excel in this position, candidates should ideally possess a minimum of 2 years of experience, preferably acquired from roles in Compliance, Internal Audit, or External Audit. Strong interpersonal skills, autonomy, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders are key attributes we seek in candidates.
