Austrade - Landing Pad Director (nga.net.au)
The role:
Austrade Singapore’s Landing Pad (LP) Director will be key leader within the Southeast Asia Landing Pad network. The role is high-profile and outward facing, with the LP Director responsible for in-market program design and delivery, to support Australian technology companies, in particular scale-ups, to achieve commercial success in Singapore, and to develop a pipeline of Landing Pad clients across Southeast Asia.
Working to Singapore’s Trade and Investment Commissioner, the LP Director will work closely with existing technology sector colleagues in Singapore, Southeast Asia and Australia, and will work closely with other LP specialists across the region.
Duties include:
• Developing and maintaining productive, high-level business network with investors, partners (including State and Territory government partners, in-market accelerators and industry associations) and customers to facilitate trade connections for Australian technology companies.
• Monitoring and assessing key technology trends in Singapore, as well as significant commercial developments in market to identify commercial opportunities and provide thought leadership and insights on existing and emerging opportunities, and advice for Australian businesses to effectively sell into Singapore and across Southeast Asia.
• Providing Austrade trade services to Austrade technology clients, with the aim of helping clients gain significant commercial traction in Singapore by:
– Working with the broader Austrade team across Southeast Asia and Australia to identify and priorities sub-sectors that are aligned with the Australian technology capabilities, and contribute to Austrade’s strategy for delivering commercial outcomes
– Actively engaging with industry and commercial players in market to identify and qualify market opportunities in priority sub-sectors
– Leading coordination and delivery of multiple cohorts to market, including arranging for an effective presence for Team Australia at key trade events in Singapore
– Providing one-to-one trade services to clients.
• Contributing to Austrade marketing efforts for technology sector and Landing Pad program delivery.
• Providing support to whole-of-government technology initiatives in Singapore, in collaboration with the Australian High Commission, and State and Territory representatives in Singapore.
• Designing and managing an annual program strategy and budget, delivering activities aligned to budget and strategic objectives.
• Contributing to agency-wide reporting, strategy development, client relationship management records, and other tasks as required.

Eligibility
To be eligible for consideration and appointment you must have:
• Work Authorisation - to be eligible for employment with Austrade in Singapore, candidates must be legally authorised to live and work in Singapore at the time of appointment.
• Language - the successful candidate must be a highly motivated team member, fluent in written and spoken English.
• Security Clearance - the successful applicant must be willing to complete an Entry Level Screening Pack and be confirmed as a suitable person to access Government resources prior to commencement in the
role.
